This is an exceptional Tudor Big Block that we believe was a special-order piece for the prestigious Ecole d'Horlogie de Genève, as indicated by the full serial number engraved inside the case back .Also often seen for special watches from mother brand Rolex , like Mill-subs , Khanjar dials and others !
These watches were used as watch makers to - be as final exam project ! This watch not only represents a significant piece of Tudor's history as the brand's first automatic chronograph, predating the Rolex Perpetual Daytona by twelve years but has some seriously cool history too!
The 40mm steel case remains in outstanding condition. The timepiece's case back bears the inscription "École d’Horlogerie de Genève" a nod to its exclusive origins. This funky Tudor was the project watch of a watch maker in training who is now a high profile name in the Swiss watch world !
It features a lovely silver soleil dial with contrasting black sub dials and comes on a Rolex Oyster bracelet reference 78360, featuring 589 endlinks and a clasp stamped with 'H'. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
