G. E. Frodsham & Co. Swiss split-second pocket chronograph with minute repeater, finished and cased in London, c. 1890.
The 18k gold case measures 44mm in diameter, and features a domed crystal with a smooth bezel, a large pumpkin-shaped winding crown at 3 o'clock, a chronograph pusher at 12 o'clock, and a slider at 6 o'clock to activate the chime. The outer caseback is inscribed "TJR IN MEMORIAM" with a monogram crest.
The white dial features blued steel hands, with black Roman numeral hour markers and an active seconds subdial, surrounded by a split seconds chapter ring for use with the chronograph seconds hand.
Powered by a keyless Swiss mechanical movement with chronograph and minute repeater chime complications.
The 14k gold chain measures 9 inches, not including the fob and clasp. (5.90dwt gold)
